Invasion of the Garden Snatchers and Other ‘Tails’
God, I'm happy today. I'm having a life moment of unadulterated bliss and what's great about that is there is plenty of reason for me to feel bummed-off but instead I feel happy. And isn't that just the perfect way to be – happy despite everything? I managed to find my way to 8am mass […]
Where are Your Manners?
What purpose are these cows serving in my life? Earlier on today, they hot-hooved it up the length of the field where I assume the farmer must have been calling them to their Sunday fry-up. But even as I write these words, they have all come back down and are congregating just outside my fence…
Choose your Thoughts from the Buffet of Life
I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning. The old gent in the petrol station was filling his tank while leaning heavily on two crutches. He hobbled over to the shop and was just approaching the door when Ms Corporate Snotty-Drawers coming out of the shop also reached the door on the inside. Terry’s Chocolate Orange – For Life or Just for Christmas?
Yesterday I cried and realised I was still holding resentment about it. Strange thing is, I really haven’t thought about it consciously for years yet for it to have surfaced yesterday out of nowhere means I’d never let go of it. It was a bit like bursting a nasty little pimple! I could feel where the emotion was (in my tummy) and could easily assess how bad it was at the start (a 9).
Learning to Love a Teenager
Nothing less important to share this Good Friday lunchtime than an international conspiracy that I am right at the centre of and note that I have less than 48 hours to get this sorted. So syringe your ears, put your specs on and pluck away any stray nasal hairs that could prove detrimental in the olfactory department because what I’m talking about today is something that deserves the attention of all your senses.
…I thought that Harry Enfield / Kevin the Teenager sketch was an exaggeration. Now I know the truth is the BBC made Harry tone it down in order not to cause a population implosion and send pre-teen parents running for the underground bomb shelters…
